The Chicago Wolves announced Tuesday they have signed forward Eric Kattelus to a contract for the 2013-14 season.

KATTELUS made his American Hockey League debut in 39 games with the Wolves last season after being signed by the team on Jan. 7, 2013. He registered 10 assists and 13 points with Chicago, and he ranked fifth on the club with a +9 plus/minus rating.

The 26-year-old forward began the 2012-13 campaign with the ECHL’s Kalamazoo Wings where he recorded 13 goals and 32 points in 34 outings. His 32 points in 34 games with the K-Wings matched his point output (10G, 22A) in 68 contests he collected with Kalamazoo in 2011-12.

Overall, the Traverse City, Mich., native amassed 24 goals, 47 assists, and 71 points in 127 ECHL tilts with Kalamazoo and the Cincinnati Cyclones from 2010-13.

Prior to turning pro, KATTELUS spent four seasons with Michigan Tech (WCHA) and accumulated 26 assists, 32 points, and 73 penalty minutes in 87 career tilts from 2007-11.

In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
