The Chicago Wolves announced Thursday they have assigned forward Eric Kattelus to the ECHL’s Kalamazoo Wings and defenseman Henrik Odegaard to the Central Hockey League’s Missouri Mavericks. In addition, the Wolves have signed defenseman Sawyer Hannay and assigned him to the ECHL’s Evansville IceMen.
Chicago Wolves General Manager Wendell Young has been busy. Since the team's season ended in April, he has facilitated a partnership change, hired a new coach, welcomed an almost entirely new roster of players into the fold and made the Wolves one of the most buzz-worthy teams in the American Hockey League. Before heading to Texas for opening weekend, Young took a time out to shed some light on where the Wolves are post-training camp and who surprised him in the preseason.
The Chicago Wolves will air 72 regular-season games on network television during their milestone 20th season. The vast majority of the American Hockey League team’s games will air on U-Too (WCIU-DT 26.2). U-Too also can be found on XFinity’s Chs. 248 and 360, RCN’s Ch. 35 and WOW’s Ch. 170.
