Television Intern
Chicago Wolves, Glenview, IL

The Chicago Wolves have an internship position open in the television production department.

He/she will work with the television department to facilitate the production of the Chicago Wolves broadcast and game-day promotions, as well as contribute to the management of our digital space media. Ideal candidates should have a bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in television production, broadcast media, or other related field. A graphic design and animation background is also helpful. This individual must demonstrate a willingness to learn, ability to multi-task and to work under deadline, and have exceptional communication skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be proficient with Mac-based operating systems, Final Cut Pro, DVD replication and production, lighting concepts, and shot composition.
  • Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite, Sony and Panasonic digital recorders and related media, and live production.
  • Experience with Cinema 4D, green screen pre-and post-production, and hockey are pluses.

Candidates must be able to fulfill full-time requirements in addition to gameday duties.

Communications Intern
Chicago Wolves, Glenview, IL

Job Description:   

The Chicago Wolves seek an intern --- preferably one with a journalism and/or media relations background --- to assist in all facets of the team’s communications endeavors during the 2013-14 season. This individual will work ALL regular-season road games from Chicago as well as many home games at Allstate Arena. The intern also assists with daily operations in the business office. Duties include writing and editing game stories on deadline, calling local media after games with score updates and assisting in the production of game-day materials. There will be opportunities to help other departments in the Wolves front office as well. This is a full-time paid internship that runs approximately from Labor Day to Memorial Day.

Requirements:

  • Journalism experience and knowledge of AP Style. Strong writing skills are crucial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with InDesign and Adobe Photoshop is preferred, but not required.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation as the job requires frequent travel to the business office in Glenview, the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, and the team’s practice facility in Hoffman Estates.
  • Hockey knowledge is a plus.
  • Must have a college diploma or be enrolled in an accredited university.
